This is a nostalgic roundup of veteran movie stars, brought together for a rousing western comedy send-up. A group of elderly ex-Rangers (Pat O'Brien, Walter Brennan, Andy Devine, Edgar Buchanan and Chill Wills) reunite to clean up a small Texas town besieged by political corruption. When the graying lawmen realize their physical powers aren't what they used to be, the Over-the-Hill Gang uses their brains and bravado to run off the bad guys (who include Jack Elam).

Over The Hill Gang Rides Again (1970):

A sequel to the very popular "Over-the-Hill Gang", which portrayed a group of retired Texas Rangers (Walter Brennan, Edgar Buchanan, Andy Devine, Chill Wills) who came out of retirement to save their small town from criminals. In the sequel, the "gang" team up to rehabilitate Fred Astaire, a onetime ranger who has fallen from his glory days to become the town drunk. With the "gang's" help, Astaire takes the job of marshal once again, with the other old-timers by his side as his deputies.
